Invitation to Workshop

Monday 22 June 2015 kl. 09:30

Dear Colleagues,

places are still available at the equations of state and EosFit
workshop at Rovinj, Croatia, August 28th 2015, at the end of the ECM!

It is possible to register for the workshop now even if you have already
registered for ECM. And it is possible to attend the EosFit workshop
even if you do not register for the main ECM.

The workshop will open with lectures to introduce the theory
behind the elastic response of crystals to pressure and the concepts
behind equations of state (EoS). The EosFit program (
will be demonstrated and the participants will be guided through fitting
fit PV, TV and PVT diffraction data. The afternoon will be devoted to
advanced topics, and to showing participants how to analyse their own
high-pressure and/or high-temperature data.

Full details of the workshop are at

If you have any question, please contact me!

This page and participation

Wednesday 20 August 2014 kl. 15:25

Hi all,

I'd like to invite all SIG2 members to send me content they'd like to advocate on this page, such as

- conference and workshop announcements

- open positions

- calls for papers

Feel free to contact me if you'd like authorship permissions on this page. I'll discuss it with Birger and if we both agree that you can contribute in a meaningful way, you'll be given authorship. Starting new categories is also possible if there's enough content on a regular basis.

Thanks and cheers,

Recent SIG2 Papers

Wednesday 20 August 2014 kl. 15:16

Hi everybody,

as suggested at Montréal, I'll start collecting recent publications by SIG2 members and publish them here on a 3-month schedule (march, june, september, december). There will be a separate category in the top menu for that specific purpose.

If you want to partake, feel free to email me a list of your work since the last update. I'm aware this is new, but please don't include work from before 2014.

For each publication, please include full author names and publication reference, including the full title and DOI (if possible). Please do not include work that has nothing to do with the scope of SIG2.

Thanks and cheers,
